I am a busy working mom in Upstate California. This chronicles my journey in feeding my family: encouraging them to eat lots of whole foods, taking advantage of the year-round array of fresh vegetables in the farmers markets in the Sacramento Valley, and throwing in some delicious home-baked goodies too.
In an effort to keep things interesting, I am always trying something new. In an effort to keep life manageable, I tend to translate recipes I use often into methods that I can memorize, my "go-to" recipes. This documents my quest for some steadfast go-to recipes. Maybe you can help me.
Most of my adventures are taking in small bites. Can I make a better pizza this week? Is homemade yogurt worthwhile? Soon I hope to try making sourdough bread and cheese-making. Stay tuned.
